Nikon D300s 12MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera Review (Body Only)

Specifications: The Nikon D300s is one of Nikon's newest digital SLR camera. It has a 12.3 MP image sensor and a 3" LCD display one the back (920'000 pixels). It supports CompactFlash and Microdrive memory cards where the images are stored in a 2144 x 1424, 3216 x 2136 or 4288 x 2848 resolution. It also has a broad ISO range, ranging from 200 all the way up to 3200. This model has a minimum shutter speed of 30 seconds and a maximum of 1/8000 of a second.

Design: The Nikon D300s measure at 5.8 x 2.9 x 4.5 inches in dimensions and weighs 1.8 pounds. Its external casing is made of magnesium alloy. The body is weather and dust proof. On the top, you will find a pop-up flash that gives this model a retro look. Below the flash, you will find an optical viewfinder that has 100% field coverage. Overall, it is very solidly built and is very similar to the D200 model.

One of the new enhancements on this mode is the 3D tracking mode that is great for taking shots of well-defined subjects. It is also an extremely speedy camera, where it is ready to take the first shot (from a cold start) in just 0.1 seconds. It also has a shot-to-shot time of just 0.5 seconds. The images taken on the Nikon D300s were very good, with great exposures, broad tonal range and accurate colors. All in all, Nikon has once again rolled out another winner for this class of digital SLR cameras.

My last video, installation, 2010, someone has a message that she thought it was ironic I had all these things Mac, but my video quality was terrible because of a poor camera. I thought about this for a bit 'and I fully agree with the person. It 'important that when my audience is just a video I made, at least I can do, picture quality is decent. Vicky, my better half, the boss told me that considering only a few weeks, I have an iPad, almost all purchases cost 600 pounds, I only once and so the decision was mine. Well, hard as the election was, was my reasoning behind the decision is taken. I already have the iPhone 3Gcan expect some four months for the iPhone, I'd really like the new Mac mini, but I have an old model as a Media Center and now this could also wait a couple of months, the camera left.
